Is the Lagree Method like Pilates?

The Lagree Method has its roots in Pilates but has significantly evolved and advanced into a multi-functional strength training machine.

Lagree classes on the Megaformer use slower movements on heavier spring loads, which results in more intensity - think building muscle and cardiovascular endurance. Our classes also push you from move to move without downtime or rest in between movements. With a two platform design, the Megaformer has a greater variety of movement options. This gives the Megaformer access to hundreds of exercise combinations. The exercises performed on the patented Megaformer simply cannot be performed on the reformer. The unique design of the Megaformer, coupled with the high intensity class design, makes a Lagree workout comprehensive and full-body, increasing the heart rate and stimulating more fat and calories burned per session.


Who are Core + Co classes for?

Core + Co classes are appropriate for adults of all fitness levels and body types.  Our instructors provide modifications and challenges for all clients so you can get the most out of each class, regardless of your level of fitness.

Anyone 14 or over can attend class.


I’ve heard the Lagree Method is really hard.  Can I do it?

You heard right, Lagree is hard, but you can do hard things! You will be challenged the entirety of the class and will feel an incredible sense of accomplishment after class. Our expert instructors will be there to guide you through it safely and effectively.


Where are you located?

We are located at 207 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, New York (next to Dirty Taco and Tequila).  The studio is on the 3rd floor.


Where can I park?

There is metered parking in 3 locations:

·      Behind the studio via the entrance on Sunrise Highway or off of N. Village Ave. at the LIRR station
·      Next to Mattress Firm

·      Along N. Village Ave.

There is also Resident/Employee parking behind the studio near the LIRR.  Anyone can park in those spots after 4pm but you need the proper permit to park there between 9am and 4pm.


What should I bring to class?

Wear comfortable workout clothes to class. Bring a bottle of water and grip socks. If you don’t have any grip socks, you can purchase a pair in the studio.  No shoes are needed for class.


Do you have showers or lockers?

We don’t have showers, but we have bathroom amenities to help you freshen up after class.

There are cubbies to stash your stuff.  We are not responsible for your personal belongings so please leave jewelry and other valuables at home.


Do I need to take a private class first?

Our classes are geared toward both beginners and experienced clients. You do not need to take a private class, but be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to your first group class. Your instructor will give you a quick tutorial on the Megaformer and the method. If you do not arrive early, you will not be permitted to take class.

Privates are a great option when you have some experience on the machine and are looking to focus on your form.


How many classes should I take each week?

We recommend 3-4 classes per week to see optimum results. However, especially when you’re first getting into it, listen to your body. Rest and recovery are key for long-lasting changes.


How many people are in each class?

There is a maximum of 10 clients. The small class size allows our instructors to give each client individual attention to keep the workout challenging yet safe.


How long is each class?

You will get a full-body workout in each 45-minute class.


Why do I have to wear grip socks?

We require all clients to wear grip socks during class. This is for your safety.  Grip socks are more hygienic than bare feet and provide extra safety for you on the machine. If you don’t have grip socks, we have a variety of really cute ones for sale in the studio.


How do I purchase a class or package?

You can purchase a class through our website or the MINDBODY app. You must have a valid credit card on file to purchase a class or class package.


What is the cancellation/no show policy?

We have a strict 12-hour cancellation policy. You can cancel up to 12 hours before your class starts and your class will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within the 12-hour late cancellation period you will lose your class. Members will also incur a $25 fee. If you do not show up for a scheduled class, you will lose the class plus incur a $15 fee. Members will incur a $35 no-show fee. Because of the small class size, this policy is strictly enforced.

If you need to cancel your session you must do so via your MINDBODY account.  Cancellations will not be accepted via phone, text or email.


Can I switch my class reservation to another time on the same day?

As long as you switch classes up to 12 hours before your class starts, you may switch your class reservation to another available class.  It you are within the 12-hour late cancellation period, you cannot switch your reservation without losing your class.


How does the waitlist work?

If a class you’d like to take is full, we recommend putting yourself on the waitlist. There is a good chance you will get into the class! In order to be added to the waitlist, you must purchase a class or package. If you do not get a spot in the class, the class credit will be returned to your account. If a spot opens, you will be added to the class and receive an email or text confirmation.

All of our classes have a 12-hour cancellation policy. If you’re added to a class from the waitlist at the last minute, please know the 12-hour cancellation still applies. If you no longer want a spot in the class, you will need to remove yourself from the waitlist at least 12 hours prior to the class. If you were added to a class from the waitlist and cancel within the 12-hour late cancellation period or do not show up to class, you will lose the class, plus incur any applicable fees.


Do you have a referral program?

Yes! We encourage you to spread the Lagree Love. For every three new clients you refer who purchase and take class, you will get a free class credited to your account. Email us at info@coreandco.fit with the names of the referred clients and we will credit your account.
